Sam began performing early on taking in part in local musicals around Telford. He went on to Thomas Telford School where he began studying drama, and then continued on to a BTEC in Performing Arts gaining three distinctions. Whilst on the course he appeared in many musicals including Grease (Doody) Fiddler on the Roof (Tevye) and JCS (Judas). Outside of the course he was cast as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables for the Oakengates theatre youth project.
He went on to train at Rose Bruford college gaining BA (hons) in Actor Musicianship.
Some Performances whilst in training included: Trofimov (Cherry Orchard), Macduff (Macbeth) and Jemmy (Moll Flanders). The course trained the students in all areas of Stage, TV, and Radio in preparation for the industry.
Sam's first professional job came soon after graduation, appearing in The Eva Cassidy Story Over The Rainbow, playing across the UK and Ireland to such theatres as the Edinburgh Playhouse.
At the beginning of this year he was cast as the lead in the UK premier of the new musical Maya at the Barons Court theatre in London and then went on to perform in a collection of mini musicals at the Kings Head theatre. He has also appeared in short films and also straight plays including Worth a flutter which was premiered at the New Red Lion earlier on this year. Sam is also a very keen drummer and has played many venues in London, as well as the Breakout Festival in the Maldives.
