Deborah was born locally and began training from the early age of 3 years old where she studied all forms of classical dance and Theatre at the Gaston Payne School of Dance. She began her vocal training at the age of 7 and gained many awards and bursaries obtaining all her Associated Board examinations and now teaches her own pupils privately. She attended The London Studio Centre in 1982 - 1984 where she gained a Diploma in The Performing Arts. During her time there she appeared the productions of Grease and Cabaret. She had the opportunity of working in Pop Video's with Sir Elton John and George Micheal. Since returning to her home town Deborah continued her career as a performer taking the roles of Anita in West Side Story, Calamity Jane, Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Super Star, Nancy in Oliver, Reeno Sweeny and Hope Harcourt in Anything Goes to name but a few. Professionally she sang with a twelve piece soul band and various cover bands touring the UK . More recently she was Co Director/Choreographer for the Musical Theatre Academy in Telford working o n shows including Fame, Annie, Guy's and Dolls, Scrooge and The Secret Garden. Deborah has taught in education holding the position of Drama Teacher at Castle House School in Newport where she worked with her pupils to obtain their LAMDA Examinations. Deborah teaches at Newport Academy on Saturdays.
